The Municipality of Clare is seeking a dependable and self-motivated General Maintenance Worker to join our team for a three-month term position. This role involves performing a variety of maintenance and repair tasks at municipal facilities and properties throughout Clare (mainly in the Meteghan area).
Key Responsibilities
- Perform general maintenance, repairs, and upkeep of municipal facilities and assets.
- Work independently with minimal supervision while ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and to a high standard.
Qualifications and Skills
- Experience in general building maintenance and repair.
- Carpentry experience.
- Basic knowledge of electrical and plumbing systems is considered an asset.
- Ability to operate hand and power tools safely and effectively.
- Valid Class 5 Driver's License and reliable transportation.
- Preference may be given to candidates with experience in facility maintenance, property maintenance, and construction.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
